Job Description:

Provides day to day support directly related to human resources business operations.

Duites:

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the HR Department.
  • Assist in filing all personnel, benefits, grievance, and unemployment files. Files away all documents of the department.
  • Scans all department files to be stored digitally.
  • Faxes, scans, and email documents as required.
  • Updates all benefit and employee personnel files.
  • Ensure legal compliance of HR and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and suggest update policies and/or procedures as required.
  • Works well with others, builds trust with leadership, peers, other management and staff working in harmony towards the same goals.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A High School Diploma or GED Preferred. Currently enrolled in a college or university Preferred.  
  • Experience/ Basic Knowledge: Prefer at least one year of office experience, particularly front desk experience must be able to type 45 wpm. Must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to converse in Keres and English languages is preferred. Must have proficiency in email programs and internet use. Must work cooperatively with others. Must have patience and ability to follow directions. Must have the ability to meet schedules and timelines effectively.
  • Required Licenses/ Certificates: Required; Valid driver’s license.
  • Physical Requirements: Must have manual dexterity to enter and retrieve data from a computer. Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time. Use both hands and fingers on a computer keyboard; bending at the wrists and elbow’ occasional stooping, bending at the waist, climbing stairs.
  • Preferences: San Felipe Preference and Veteran’s preference

  • Ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge and ability to write and prepare strategic plans with both long and short terms goals and objectives.
  • Ability to collaborate and work well with all tribal departments and all other management within the organization.
  • Ability to promote the needs of the pueblo in the best interest of the pueblo.

Working Conditions:

Works in office. Sits for long periods of time and types.
