San Felipe Pueblo Tribal Enrollment Program
The Tribal Enrollment program under the direction of the Tribal Administration carries out all census functions, and maintains the official census of he Pueblo of San Felipe. The primary focus is the growth and strengthening of membership.
Our program provides the following services to meet the needs of the community members:

- Tribal ID's - $10.00
- Tribal ID’s are FREE to elders ages 50+ for first issue. If lost before expiration date, the replacement fee is $5.00
- Birth Certificates
- Acknowledgments of Paternity

- Certification of Fish & Wildlife
- Notary Services - Free
Eligibility Criteria Per 1993 Membership Ordinance
All individuals who wish to apply for membership with the Pueblo of San Felipe must meet the following criteria: Must be of 1/4 degree San Felipe blood.
New Requirements
A membership application must be completed for all who wish to become a member of the San Felipe Tribe. The following documents are required and must be submitted along with the application:
- State issued Birth Certificate
- Acknowledgment of Paternity (If father is not listed on the birth certificate)
- Baptismal Certificate (Lady of Guadalupe Parish 505-465-2226)
- Social Security Card
- Certificate of Indian Blood for non tribal member parent
- Adoption paperwork (if applicable)
- Relinquishment letter from other Tribe (if applicable)
- Signatures of both parents (if married)
Note to parents of newborns: We do not have automatic enrollment therefore an application must be submitted for your child to be considered for membership (this may be done after baptism).
Eligibility requirements for tribal ID
- Must be an enrolled member of the San Felipe Tribe
- Must be 12 years or older
- Make your payment at the Finance Office located at the Tribal Admin building and obtain a receipt.
- If you reside on San Felipe Pueblo, but are unsure or do not know your physical address, call the PIA office at (505) 771-2290 to request for an address verification letter.
- Bring the receipt and letter along with the following documents to enrollment technician at the enrollment office:
- State issued birth certificate
- Baptismal certificate
- Social Security card
- Marriage certificate (if applicable)
- Receipt of Fees
- Address Verification
Death Certificates
Although it is never anticipated or hoped for the lose of a loved one, a death registration must be initiated by an immediate family member, after all funeral services are completed. Contact (505) 771-9958 for details and assistance.
