Job Description:

Incumbent serves as a shift Supervisor with primary responsibilities for the protection, safeguarding and security of San Felipe Pueblo Enterprise assets, personnel, and customers during their assigned shift. The incumbent is responsible for coordination of all shift functions/operations and supervision of agents.

Duites:

  • Responsible for Surveillance operations during assigned shift.
  • Develop work schedules, monitor, and supervise performance of agents for assigned shifts.
  • Provide assistance and training as needed for shift personnel.
  • Investigate allegations of cheating, wrongdoing, or theft.
  • Responsible for all official records, reports and correspondence for department of an assigned shift.
  • Notify proper authorities for all emergencies, incidents, or situations occurring assigned shift.
  • Maintain public relations with Local, County, State and Federal Law Enforcement and Fire agencies as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with department’s standard operating procedural manual, Employee Handbook, and other policies/Regulations.
  • Responsible for timekeeping, shift schedules, and ensuring shift is adequately staffed.
  • Ensure department’s daily records are accurate and maintained for assigned shift.
  • Review and approve reports generated by agents.
  • May perform the duties of the Surveillance Manager in the manger’s absence.
  • Must attend and satisfactorily complete required training as directed by the manager or the Human Resources Department as well as to ensure assigned staff attends required training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must have worked as a Surveillance Agent in Indian Gaming for a minimum of 2 years.
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent.
  • 5 years’ experience in law enforcement, security, or surveillance preferably in the Casino or Gaming Industry in which at least 2 years was in a supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in supervising others, ability to maintain a professional unbiased manner at all times.
  • Knowledgeable in interpreting regulations, policies, and NIGC MICs.
  • Ability to review and provide constructive feedback o reports written by subordinates.
  • Shift work, extended working hours, including weekends, is required.

  • Mathematical Skills 
    • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s ad 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of U. S Currency and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Language Skills 
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies, operating and maintenance instructions, and regulations. Ability to speak effectively in a courteous manner to customers and employees.
  • Reasoning Ability 
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in writing, orally, or diagram form. Ability to deal with issues, while maintaining a calm professional bearing.
