SDPI Summer Intern

Incumbent will assist the Health & Wellness Summer Intern Program activities.

Job Description:

Incumbent will assist the Health & Wellness Summer Intern Program activities.

Duites:

Assists with implementing the Health & Wellness department's goals and objectives in activities per Pueblo of San Felipe Tribal Administration's goals and objectives. 

Assists with daily recreation and physical activity in coordination with the Summer Sports Program.

Responsible for daily set-up and breakdown of program supplies and equipment. 

Responsible for the weekly inventory of the Program's equipment and supplies.

Assistance during Bike Program events and clinics.

Assist with maintenance of recreation area and storage. 

Monitor not only the assigned children but all youth registered in the Program.

Must submit daily reports, including attendance, incident reports, and appreciation awards.  

Engage with children and participate in daily activities.

Must be willing to work evening and weekend hours as scheduled.

Assist with developing community health & wellness programming and events.

Must attend all scheduled field trips and monitor program participants to and from field trip sites.

Assist with preparation and serving of lunch if needed.  

Must obtain First Aid AED, CPR, and food handler certification.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Physical Requirements: Must consistently exercise, bend, stoop, run, spin, sit, and stand for long periods. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be physically able to bend, stoop, run, walk, spin, jump, and stand for long periods.

Working Conditions:

Working Conditions: The employee works at a fitness facility and other indoor and outdoor fitness/recreational areas with fitness equipment. The employee actively engages in physical movement and fitness activities.
