Job Description:

Provides day to day support directly related to human resources business operations.

Duites:

Updates all benefit and employee personnel files.

Assist in the day to day operations of the HR Department.

Assist with the recruiting and on boarding process.

Assist in setting up all personnel, benefits, grievance, and unemployment files. Files away all documents of the department.

Assist with the grievance and unemployment process.

Scans all department files to be stored digitally.

Informs IT of all new hires and terminated employees.

Faxes, scans, and email documents as required.

Ensure legal compliance of HR and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and suggest update policies and/or procedures as required.

Generates PO’s for payment of all department goods and services.

Assist employees in filling out all HR department forms.

Assist in training and development programs.

Assist in all employee engagements and employee recognition.

Works well with others, builds trust with leadership, peers, other management and staff working in harmony towards the same goals.

Maintain complete confidentiality.

Any and all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: A High School Diploma or GED Required

Experience/ Basic Knowledge: Prefer at least one year of office experience, particularly front desk experience must be able to type 45 wpm. Must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Ability to converse in Keres and English languages is preferred. Must have proficiency in email programs and internet use. Must work cooperatively with others. Must have patience and ability to follow directions. Must have the ability to meet schedules and timelines effectively.

Required Licenses/ Certificates: Required: Valid driver’s license. Required; Tribal Human Resources Professional Certification Required within two years of employment start date.

Physical Requirements: Must have manual dexterity to enter and retrieve data from a computer. Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time. Use both hands and fingers on a computer keyboard; bending at the wrists and elbow’ occasional stooping, bending at the waist, climbing stairs.
