Job Description:

This is a community-based position which entails coordination over the Tribal Home Visiting Program. Position involves direct oversight of home visiting staff, ensures implementation of quality services according to grant and model requirements, and increases access to culturally competent services.

Duites:

  • Manages and provides oversight over home visiting services in compliance with grant standards.
  • Writes and submits programmatic reports to federal entities, Tribal Administration and evidence-based models.
  • Ensures fidelity and compliance to evidence-based model implementation.
  • Engages in ongoing monitoring and quality assurance of home visiting services.
  • Provides ongoing guidance to staff on screenings, evaluation, and other data collection requirements
  • Supports staff with coordination of family groups, outreach activities, and other related program events.
  • Collaborates with tribal programs, and engages in joint community activity planning and events.  
  • Facilitates staff meetings, trainings and administrative supervision; and co-facilitates early childhood meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Master’s degree preferred, BA degree required with field of study in child development, social work, psychology, or family studies.
  • Experience/Basic Knowledge: 4+ years of experience in health and child development field. Knowledge of cultural aspects of wellness and prevention; administrative and management experience; demonstrated competence and management of federal grants and budgets; data entry experience; experience with grants management database; experience in federal report writing. Ability to work with a diverse array of people (youth and families, tribal leaders, community and cultural leaders).
  • Substantial knowledge of and ability to develop: Child-serving systems; Family and child partnership; Cultural and linguistic competency.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must pass a drug screen, thorough background and Driver’s license check.

  • Required Licenses/Certification: Valid driver’s license.
  • Physical Requirements: Must have manual dexterity to perform administrative and project implementation duties.
  • Preferences: San Felipe or Native American Preference and Veteran’s Preference.

Working Conditions:

Works in office or other sites to conduct programmatic and administrative functions.
