Tribal Administrator Intern

Job Description:
Incumbent will be responsible for learning the work and operations of the San Felipe Tribal Government. Candidate will work alongside Tribal Administrator(s), be exposed to daily operations of the Governor’s office and will also be introduced to state, federal and tribal governments with an emphasis on government-to-government relationships. Ability to travel out-of-state is a must.
Duites:
Senior (Fall-2024), High School graduates or current undergraduate college students.
Must have knowledge of tribal protocols, traditions, cultural values in order to serve as a role model for youth in the community.
Knowledge of basic government civics.
Experience in basic office work: filing, answering phones, filling out paperwork, data entry. Knowledge of basic computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Must have the ability to write basic correspondence. Knowledge of proper grammar is a must.
Tribal member preference and the ability to speak Keres is a plus.
