Job Description:

Provide assistance to end users, over government organization and to provide technical assistance to community members over the internet for community service. Assist IT office to maintain SF network.

Duites:

Over government organization the applicant must assist:

  • Providing support to end users.
  • Setup computer equipment.
  • Maintain computer equipment.
  • Assist with new IT projects.
  • Assist with phone systems.
  • Incumbent must have experience troubleshooting Windows OS, experience and knowledge of connection types to troubleshoot hardware, knowing the type of connections and network protocols to connect and troubleshoot equipment on network environment. Required segmented wiring knowledge that allows the applicant to identify connection issues on network connections.
  • Fiber optic knowledge is required to identify/troubleshoot existing lines.

To help community the applicant must assist:

  • Operate and monitor San Felipe Infrastructure in charge of internet for community services.
  • To answer calls from community members to assist with internet service.
  • Troubleshoot connection services within San Felipe Infrastructure that is not only limited to network LAN environments but WAN services as well, to insure a house has internet connectivity when a community member experience  internet issues.
  • Fiber optic knowledge is required to implement new services or to troubleshoot existing lines.
  • Do basic troubleshoot to community members personal equipment when they experience problems connecting to internet.
  • Incumbent may have the ability to climb ladders and perform receiver installation (small dishes) on roofs.

Qualifications:

  • Education: HS Degree or equivalent
  • Experience/Basic Knowledge: Technical education on or related to computer technician, experience of at least three years on Windows platforms, including installation and configuration of operating systems, windows networking,
  • Ethernet network protocol, trouble shooting IBM systems and peripherals, Basic fiber optic knowledge.
  • Required Licenses/Certifications: Valid NM driver’s license.
  • Physical Requirements: Must have manual dexterity to manipulate and servicing electronic equipment. Ability to carry computer equipment, Bends and stoops regularly.
  • Preferences: San Felipe Student or Member. Keres language is preferred.

Working Conditions:

Work all around departments, lifting computer equipment, driving to different locations, carrying computer equipment between offices.
