DNR Interns

Incumbent will be responsible to learn about the work done in the DNR Department.

Job Description:

Incumbent will be responsible to learn about the work done in the DNR and assist in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the Department.

Duites:

  • Maintains a positive attitude and be willing to work hard and learn.
  • Maintain a level of professionalism and confidentiality regarding sensitive work undertaken in the DNR.
  • Perform all work in a safe manner; wear suitable footwear and clothing for field work, protective equipment such as gloves or hard hats as required.
  • Communicate with Tribal Administration, Tribal employees and Community members regarding matters of concern to the department.
  • Creates a resume and apply for higher education opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Education:  Current or entering student preferred. Age range 17-23
  • Experience/Basic Knowledge: Willingness to learn, work and experience
  • Required Licenses/Certifications: Prefer a valid driver’s license.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be willing and prepared to work both indoors and outdoors including in inclement weather.
  • Preferences: San Felipe Tribal Member and Keres Speaker Preference.
  • Must be able to pass background and Drug test.

Working Conditions:

Work may include both office work, attending meetings and field work. Must be willing and prepared to work outdoors in inclement weather.
