Dear Community Member(s),
As you may be aware, a weather warning has been issued for heavy rainfall and possible flooding in our area over the next three days. You are receiving this notice because your home is located in an area that may be affected by heavy rainfall or flooding.
At this time, we are asking you and your family to take precautionary measures and be prepared in the event that an evacuation becomes necessary. Please consider preparing a bag that can be quickly taken with you. Important items may include:
• Clothing and basic toiletries
• Baby supplies, if needed
• Necessary medical supplies or equipment: prescription medications – please have enough for at least one week, if possible
• Any other items you or your family may need if you are away from your home
If the evacuation plan is implemented, please proceed to San Felipe Pueblo Elementary School, unless otherwise directed by emergency personnel. You may also make arrangements ahead of time to stay with family members in a safe area.
Please do not panic. This notice does not mean that an evacuation has been ordered. These are precautionary measures being taken by the Administration to help ensure the safety of our community and to make sure families are prepared should conditions worsen.
Please continue to monitor weather conditions and watch for additional information or instructions from emergency personnel.
