General Description:
Serves as a Board Member for the San Felipe Enterprises Board to oversee the various enterprises of the Pueblo, including, but not limited to, the Black Mesa Casino and the Black Mesa Travel Center.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in business ownership, management, accounting, Federal contracting, operations or related fields.
- A working understanding of business finance and reporting, including but not limited to, Business Plans, Income Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Analysis, and Pro Forma Financial Projections.
- A demonstrated knowledge of alternative business models (e. g. corporations, limited liability companies, limited partnerships, etc.), business planning, marketing, and due diligence.
- A college education in business administration, business management, finance, accounting, marketing, legal, or related fields.
- A working knowledge of sources for financing of, and technical assistance for, business ventures, especially in Indian Country.
- An understanding of, and ability to access, various economic development and business networks.
- A willingness to accept the fiduciary duties and responsibilities if Board membership, including execution of a confidentiality agreement, etc.
- Tribal gaming experience or knowledge of tribal gaming.
- Not have been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor involving dishonesty or moral turpitude, including, but not limited to, extortion, embezzlement, bribery, perjury, fraud and theft, and must have not violated any applicable ethics rule.
- Must not be an elected/appointed official of the Pueblo of San Felipe Government.
- With respect to the enterprises, must not be a member of the immediate or extended family of any member of the San Felipe Enterprises Board of Directors and must not be an employee of the San Felipe Enterprises or its subsidiaries.
- Must pass a background check and be approved for a Primary Management Official Gaming License pursuant to the San Felipe Pueblo Gaming Ordinance.
