Tribal Programs

The Pueblo of San Felipe Child Care Program provides Family Home Child Care assistance to families that are working, attending school or in a job training program. Must participate in listed activities for at least 20 hours per week to be eligible for services. Self- employment is not accepted as employment.

The program follows the Minimum Health and Safety Standards for all Family Child Care Homes.

Who is eligible for Child Care Services?

Children ages: 2 weeks to 12yrs old
Special needs children ages: 2 weeks to 16yrs old (Must provide in-depth Physician’s statement)
Protective Services children ages: 2 weeks to 14yrs old (Must provide court order or statement from Family Services Department)
Children must be enrolled/pending enrollment with San Felipe Pueblo or any federally recognized tribe.

All services must take place within the boundaries of San Felipe Pueblo.

Priority of services is given to children with special needs, TANF participants, children in Protective Services and children of teen parents. All services provided to Foster Care and Protective Services children are limited to a 6-month period.
