Family Services
San Felipe Pueblo Family Services Department
Family Services is a member of the Tribal Early Learning Initiative (TELI) team along with other multiple team members working to improve early childhood outcomes in the Pueblo of San Felipe community.
In addition, Family Services is an active member of the New Mexico Tribal Indian Child Welfare Act (NM TIC) Consortium.
Services Provided
- Respond to child abuse/neglect reports
- Child abuse/neglect joint investigations with Law Enforcement
- Respond to adult elder neglect and abuse
- Emergency Foster Care/Kinship Relative Care Placements
- Kinship Care/Foster Care Training
- Evening Parent Sessions/Online Parenting
- One-time clothing/food allowance for children in out-of-home placements
- Emergency shelter/safe home placements
- One-time clothing/food and miscellaneous allowance for DV survivors
- Emergency transportation to shelter/safe home
- Assist client to obtain public /State resources (Medicaid, TANF, SNAPS, SSI/Social Security Disability, LIHEAP, Food Pantry, etc.)
- Transportation to All Faiths Receiving Home/Solace Treatment Centers for child forensic interviews/Sexual Assault Nurses Examination (SANE)
- Court Advocacy
- Child Support Advocacy
- On call 24/7 for crisis response
- Referrals to local service providers
- Case management
- Keres/English Interpretation
- Individual Empowerment Program (IEP) activities for survivors (Native belt weaving, traditional Indian dress making, Native cooking, etc.)
Family Services and DV Program places special emphasis on safety of children, survivors and family preservation!

- Assist with Filing Protection Order/Restraining Order

- Outdoor therapuetic activities for victims/survivors
- Transportation to Sexual Assault Nurses Examination (SANE) and Forensic Interviews
- Batterers Intervention Program (BIP) for Court-ordered individuals
