Dear San Felipe Community,
It is nearly a year to the day since the Coronavirus began to impact the United States. We have been through so many challenges in the last year. As a community we have endured fear, separation and illness. The vaccine against the Covid-19 illness is here and we are encouraging every tribal member and every resident of the Pueblo to be vaccinated, including teenagers aged 16 and 17 years of age. We have had over 1,500 tribal members and employees vaccinated and we have not had any negative outcomes. If you are unsure about the vaccine and would like more information, please contact the San Felipe East Clinic at 771-7205. It is very important for the Medical Team to know who has been vaccinated, and who still needs a vaccination, as quickly as possible. While we have information on who has been vaccinated through the IHS we know many of you have been vaccinated at work, through the state or other. We are asking all tribal residents to complete the San Felipe Pueblo vaccination registration. Please follow this link to the vaccine registration portal.
It will only take a few moments of your time to complete the information and will greatly assist the Pueblo to ensure all have been vaccinated. We ask each of you to continue to wear your mask, avoid large gatherings and social settings outside of your home until we know the danger has passed. We hope the warming spring weather provides each of you and your families with a renewed hope for the future.
